How to Decorate a Disney Resort or Cruise Ship Door

Are you planning a trip to a Disney resort or cruise ship? If so, you're in for a magical time! But before you go, gather all your need to decorate your door so everyone knows you're the biggest and best Disney fan.

Below are some inspirational ideas for your next magical vacation aboard any Disney Cruise Line ship or at select Disney Resorts.

Items I love that you may not have thought of as door décor that will make your door the best on the floor: streamers, pom poms, buntings, party decorations, message boards, treat holders, and fish extenders are always a fun addition.

Start With A Theme - Here is an example and ideas to make your door stand out.

Decorating a Disney Vacation Door

Disney Snacks

Start with this CitrusSkyline original design Daisy’s Food Truck that features your favorite Disney Parks snacks.

I really love adding a mix of textures like this rainbow sorbet felt ball garland, or if you want to give off the Disney 100th celebration vibes, this purple ombre garland is perfect. To hang, simply add these magnet hooks to your door and apply the garland in a sweeping or staggered fashion.

Next, you can start adding layers of fun, like a short string of accents like this boho daisy pack. And I always think of the movie Elf when they decorate the Christmas tree. What’s next? The lights…. These are my absolute favorite, and I still use them in my house to decorate my fridge or office… the PERFECT mouse-shaped string light with a battery pack. Add a magnet stripe to attach the battery pack to the door, and your door with give off the perfect glow!
